It is with great sadness we report that Audrey Armitage died at home this morning.
As a long standing supporter of the Club, she has been a playing and social member for well over 25 years. Only on Saturday, Audrey was again at the Club supporting the players on Final’s Day.
At 94 years of age, and having suffered a few falls recently, she was becoming less mobile, but remained fiercely independent until the end. While a surprise today, as she was getting ready to attend a Coffee morning, I understand she did not suffer at all. It is a blessing in so many ways.
With no immediate family, I believe her wish was for there to be no funeral service or memorial. She will certainly be missed.
